Braunability ™ Maintenance Schedule

Caring for Your BraunAbility ™ Vehicle

To keep your Braun Entervan or Rampvan running smoothly, the following service checks and procedures are recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles by a qualified Braun technician. Be sure to visit MITS, a full service BraunAbility ™ Dealer regularly to keep your vehicle in tip-top shape.

Ramp System

  • Clean and lube ramp hinge
  • Check tightness of ramp hinge bolts
  • Adjust ramp chain (chain should be snug with ramp folded)
  • Lube ramp pivot pins and bushing
  • Inspect and lube ramp drive arm (infloor ramps)
  • Operate ramp to ensure proper stowed/deployed switch adjustment
  • Verify manual operation of ramp

Door System

  • Clean door track and ensure drain hole is free of debris
  • Check door alignment to ensure door gaps are consistent and even
  • Inspect sliding door harness for damage and proper alignment
  • Inspect and lube door rollers
  • Inspect door operator cable (Rampvan)
  • Inspect door full open switch adjustment

Kneel System

  • Clean and lube kneel chain
  • Inspect and lube kneel rollers
  • Inspect kneel raised/lowered switches (Rampvan)
  • Check manual override of kneel actuator

General Maintenance

  • Verify battery voltage
  • Check and adjust tire pressure
  • Verify operation of conversion with all switches and remote
