IMS RAMPVAN AWARD WINNER MITS IS DEALER OF THE YEAR

Feb 6, 2004 Dallas, Texas

At this year’s annual meeting of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA), Independent Mobility Systems (IMS) announced the highest volume-producing dealers within its distribution network. This year, Mobility Independent Transportation Systems (MITS) and Venice Dodge Mobility earned the honor of the IMS National Dealer of the Year 2003. MITS, based in Largo, Florida, and Venice Dodge, of Venice, Florida earned the honor by selling more Rampvan lowered floor minivan conversions than more than 250 IMS dealers in the United States.  In addition to earning the National Dealer of the Year Award, MITS and Venice Dodge were also recipients of the IMS Southeast Region Customer Satisfaction Award for providing the highest level of customer satisfaction among the IMS Southeast Region Distributors.  Dick Miller, the Mobility Manager of Venice Dodge, Leanne Gerhart and Gary Shikoski of MITS were on hand in Dallas to receive their awards.

MITS and Venice Dodge work in tandem to stock 15 to 20 Rampvans between the two locations.  According to Pete Galietta, the owner of MITS, MITS and Venice Dodge are focused on being the "auto dealer for the disabled".  "Just as able bodied people expect to go to a car dealer and purchase a vehicle out of stock, we provide the disabled community the same ability to purchase an accessible vehicle out of stock", says Galietta.

In March 2004, MITS and Venice Dodge were designated by IMS as a Toyota Sienna Rampvan dealer. Matt Swope, IMS Region Manager for the southeast says, "with the addition of the Sienna Rampvan to the MITS and Venice Dodge product line, both locations will continue to build upon the success that the popular Dodge Grand Caravan Rampvan has established in their markets."
